FAQ OCTGN en france

Oh dear ... was this originally published on April 1st? I'm afraid it's for real, though - the polish FAQ 3.0 already indicated that they see themselves as the new developers of the game, and it also showed that they were not any good at it. Now we know that they are also not very good at learning from their mistakes.

On a more positive note, though: I don't know any german player who was using FAQ 3.0, and I'd be astounded if anybody I know decides to adopt this new silliness. Plus, a lot of polish players on OCTGN also ignored FAQ 3.0, so it should still be easily possible to find non-french opponents on the virtual gaming table. The OCTGN FAQ would be one possible and reasonable base for that.

That a significant part of the polish community apparently intends to completely decouple itself from the rather stable meta that FFG created is deplorable, but it does not need to reduce our enjoyment of the game.

@ MaikH : I heard Gardine was part of the "lucky seven" who designed the 3.0 FAQ.

What do polish players in general think about that new FAQ ? If they're the same as the 7 designers, then there is no hope...

Also, when you play on OCTGN, isn't the "OCTGN FAQ" applied ? Or is it the polish one ?

The Polish FAQ was not so different as the OCTGN one and everybody played with the OCTGN FAQ but now i m not sure that polish players will still play with OCTGN FAQ if they want to prepare their tournaments

I wouldn't know - they have not been particularly open with information on how this group was selected. And seeing their results so far, I don't feel it's worth speculating about. What I do know is that all WHI tournaments announced in the german forums in 2014 use FAQ 2.2, including the ones in Hamburg organized by Gardine ...

In January, I hosted most of my OCTGN games with 'FAQ 2.2, please' and had no problems at all with that. One very nice guy from Poland asked me 'is there another one?', so I'd say that there is some hope, still

With the exception of how Desertion is supposed to work, my own decks are not affected at all by the differences between the different FAQs - I don't play infinite combos, anyway. Regarding the other players, there has only been a single instance where I had to face Skaven with 3x Warpstone Excavation, and that guy immediately apologized for it when I mentioned it.

So my impression is that international play on OCTGN has not been damaged much by all this hullabaloo yet. Personally, I'd prefer it if we'd all just keep to FAQ 2.2 (with the only addition being Summons of Chaos: Chaos only), but that boat has sailed, I guess.

Exaclty. And maybe there is no relation, but the actual OCTGN tournament with the OCTGN FAQ apply have 10 players less than the others one. So i imagine now...

i don't like this FAQ (why dwarfs have so many restrictions!!!!). But this is only my opinion. To play on octgn (FAQ 2.2) it will be no problem. I have deck on FAQ 2.2 and 3.0. On OCTGN i play ussualy agains people from other Countrys
in next week i will write what in Poland people say about this FAQ but i must translate this and i will be on weekend in work :/

Tant qu'on maintient la communauté en France, pas de problème ! On pourra s'amuser à faire nos Championnats de France sans qu'on nous embête maintenant !

Sans vouloir donner de faux espoirs, cette absence de nouvelle FAQ pour WHI n'implique pas que FFG n'en sortira pas une dans les prochains mois.
En effet, cette série de FAQs est liée à la saison des Regionals. Or il n'y a pas de Regionals pour WHI (puisque, officiellement, FFG n'a plus de jeu organisé pour WHI), du coup, pas de FAQ.
D'ailleurs, SdA LCG n'a pas reçu de FAQ à cette occasion. Or ce jeu n'est pas abandonné par FFG pour autant.

Oui tu as raisons, mais j'y crois pas quand même...

Pour être honnête, moi non plus. Mais je trouve cela tellement dommage (et pour le jeu, et pour l'image de FFG, d'autant que cela a un coût assez négligeable) que je me raccroche à ce que je peux pour prolonger l'espoir et considérer que FFG n'a juste pas encore pris de décision officielle.

Mais, en effet, s'ils avaient voulu publier un truc pour WHI cela aurait été un excellent timing.

We were just debating about the non-release of a new FFG FAQ, and saying that it was the official "death" of the game.

FFG have sayed at the end of last year that is last FAQ (2.2). No suprise for me that it is now FAQ because the people from WHI team are now in WH40k Team

I just want to hope that the Warhammer Invasion LCG team are learned about the bad wording and the "cheated" cards in our game, to make a excellent new game ...
But, Conquest isn't for me ! I prefer Android Netrunner. And i'm surprising that this game is OK and have just today one errata only !!! It's a good game !
